Dana Greenfield M.D., Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
Dana Greenfield, M.D., Ph.D., is a pediatrician and pediatric palliative care physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and holds a Ph.D. in anthropology. She completed her M.D., pediatrics residency and hospice and palliative medicine fellowship all at the University of California, San Francisco. Prior to becoming a physician, she trained as an anthropologist (Ph.D., UC Berkeley and San Francisco), working at the intersection of medical anthropology and science and technology studies. Her current academic interests include translating the tools and insights of anthropology and ethnographic inquiry into palliative care practice, teaching and research.
