Nancy Heavilin, M.D., FAAP, CPA, and WCM alumna (2010) is a primary care pediatrician, narrative medicine practitioner, and writer. She holds a certificate of professional achievement in narrative medicine from Columbia University and completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Colorado-Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Currently she practices outpatient pediatrics with Mosaic Community Health, a federally qualified health center that serves the indigent populations of central Oregon and is an elected member to the executive committee of the AAP Council on Child Abuse and Neglect.
