Debjani Mukherjee, Ph.D., HEC-C, is a clinical/community psychologist, qualitative researcher, and clinical ethicist with over 30 years of experience working in 9 hospital settings in Buffalo, Boston, Urbana, Chicago, Paris, Kolkata (Calcutta), and New York City. Her scholarly interests are in the ethical dilemmas posed by neurological impairments, the dignity of risk, the practice of ethics consultation, and ethical concerns in rehabilitation medicine. Throughout her career, she has focused on the translation of academic ethics, disability studies and cultural studies into the practical clinical context.
