Emily S. Finkelstein, M.D., is a graduate of Princeton University where she studied art history. After working at the Whitney Museum of American Art, she obtained a medical degree with honors from Yale University School of Medicine. She completed a residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford.  After fellowship training in geriatric medicine at Weill Cornell, she joined the faculty in the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. She has an academic interest in connecting art and medicine and has developed a museum-based curriculum for health professionals and medical trainees entitled Connecting Art and Medicine.
