Sharon Madanes M.D., M.F.A

Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry

Sharon Madanes, M.D., M.F.A., is a reproductive psychiatrist at the Payne Whitney Partial Hospitalization Program and in the Perinatal Wellness Program, an OB collaborative care program. She studied painting and printmaking as an undergraduate at Yale University and received her MFA from Hunter College before completing medical school at Columbia University and residency at NYU/Bellevue Hospital. She has received several awards and art residencies, including the Rema Hort Mann Foundation Emerging Artist Fellowship, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture Residency, the Shandaken Paint School, and the Mortimer Hays-Brandeis Traveling Fellowship. Her paintings have been exhibited at JDJ Gallery, The Drawing Center, the Pelham Art Center, and Perrotin Gallery in New York City.
