Gateways Admissions

Applications are accepted from individuals who are:

• US citizens or permanent residents and
• Current college freshmen or sophomores and
• Will be at least 18 years of age by the start of the program.

Gateways strives to be inclusive while identifying and preparing undergraduates with a broad range of lived experiences to advance biomedical research.

Each year, we receive ~200 applications for 15 spots in the Gateways class. Applicants should have a strong academic background and demonstrate a commitment to exploring the dual MD-PhD degree. Previous research is encouraged, but not required. If you have conducted research, you should include a letter of recommendation from that experience(s).
