Weill Medical College is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to authorize and issue AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for programs that are developed by Weill Cornell Medicine faculty as part of the medical school's overall program of CME. Therefore, all applications must meet ACCME guidelines for CME activities, along with all WCM Institutional and CME policies, including but not limited to those governing Conflict of Interest (COI).

The WCM CME committee is charged with approving all activities for CME credit. Applications for approval for activities should be submitted no later than 3 months before the date of the planned educational program.

All applicants are required to review and adhere to these WCM policies, as well as the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. All WCM CME activities, whether accredited by WCM or an external organization (other than WCM affiliated institution), and whether held on-site or off-site, must meet these standards and be approved by the WCM CME committee. No CME activity can be held under the guise of a WCM activity without meeting this requirement.

Applicants must also comply with the WCM Approval of CME Activities Policy, available here.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education is available to provide guidance throughout the application process. Additional documentation may be required by the CME Committee, as outlined in the application materials and guidelines.

Questions should be directed to the CME Office at (646) 962-6931 or cme@med.cornell.edu.
