WCM EDge (Educators Driving Growth & Excellence) is a new initiative from the Office of Medical Education that brings together faculty and trainees committed to advancing excellence in teaching, curriculum development, mentorship, and education scholarship. As a member of this vibrant community, faculty and trainees have access to:

- EDge Grants and other funding initiatives

- A growing network of passionate educators across departments and our affiliate sites
Membership Categories
- EDge Member – for all WCM educators with an interest in teaching, mentorship, or innovation. Anyone with a WCM faculty appointment is eligible to join. No formal experience needed!
- EDge Fellow – for established educators with ≥5 years of education leadership or significant education scholarship
- Rising EDge – for residents and fellows interested in medical education

EDge Grants provide competitive internal funding to support high-impact educational scholarship across the continuum of medical education and are intended for faculty who are actively engaged in teaching and seek to elevate their work into disseminated scholarship. Up to three (3) grants of $10,000 were awarded for the 2026 cycle.
EDge Impact Event
EDge Impact is an evening event that will take place on May 18, 2026, at Griffis Faculty Club.
During this event, the Office of Medical Education will highlight over 30 posters focused on:
- curricular innovation and design
- educational technology and AI integration
- interprofessional or interdisciplinary learning
- assessment feedback or coaching strategies
- faculty development or mentorship in education
- educational outcomes and program evaluation
